The kids had but one complaint: “It’s too short!” And after taking the minute-and-a-half spin on the made-over Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini myself, I’ll agree they’ve got a legit complaint. It took more time walking through the nearly-empty queue than it did on the “stunt plane” itself.
We rode back-to-back three times one leisurely morning in New Fantasyland, only because we were able to ride with a very minimal wait. And, we’d never ridden the coaster back in the days it was known as the Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm. (I also figured it would be a good “warm up” coaster for the kids before graduating to Space and Big Thunder Mountain later in the day!)
Location: Find Barnstormer in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World Resort.
Touring Tip: If you feel your kids will wheedle you to ride the Barnstormer, I’d recommend riding before 10:30am. Waits of up to a half hour can develop simply because the attraction loads slowly. If there are younger kids in your party who don’t meet the height requirement for Barnstormer (and you have a second adult present to care for them), we found nearby Casey Jr. Splash ‘n Soak Station to be a refreshing spot to pass the time.
